Komodo island is an island in East Nusa Tenggara Province, or NTT. The island is a habitat for native animals Komodo dragon. Therefore, this island is the Komodo National Park and managed by the Indian government.

UNESCO recognized the region as a World Heritage Site in 1986. In 2009, the park is one of 28 finalists for the new Seven Wonders of Nature or seven natural wonders of the world as the only representative of Indonesia.
